Shipping hazardous goods under ADR with Carrier Connect – UPS, consolidated hazardous goods

The following tips help you input data in Carrier Connect or transmit data from your host system via the API to Carrier Connect when shipping hazardous goods by road under ADR via the carrier UPS.

UPS allows only three hazardous goods in one shipping order. Consolidation makes it possible to combine multiple hazardous goods into one hazardous goods shipment.

Carrier Connect automatically consolidates identical hazardous goods when shipping with UPS. Prerequisite: The information in all fields of the dangerous goods item of the dangerous goods to be consolidated must be identical. Only the quantity can vary. The hazardous goods must be packed in the same package.

Carrier Connect recognizes which information must be printed on the label or other documents and transmitted in the EDI based on the information in the dangerous goods item and the selected service provider. This requires that the selected hazardous goods type was implemented in Carrier Connect. You can find this information in the System Description: “Functional scope of the offered carriers”.
