What’s new at a glance

We have expanded our Export Filing platform for you. You can now also use Customs Management to process export declarations for the United States of America.

In addition, new cross-national features help you to further automate and accelerate your customs processes. For example, we have extended the template selectors. You also benefit from new filter options for port notifications. Improved user-friendliness, such as extended menu functions or direct links for populating certain fields is a further benefit of this service pack.

What’s new in your AEB applications

Product-specific and to the point: The new AEB system requirements

Quickly finding the necessary changes in the system requirements for your product has now become even easier: With the restructured system requirements documents from AEB. You can now find all current system requirements for your product (including the Plug-in for SAP option, if supported by your product) clearly presented in one document. We have placed particular emphasis on a consistent and intuitive structure and faster retrieval of information.

In order to tailor the information even more optimally to your needs, you will now find separate documents differentiated by operating model AEB Cloud and On-premise installation (if supported by the product) for each product. As a result, you only get the information that is relevant to your needs.

Benefits at a glance:

  • Get information according to your needs through differentiation of operating models
  • Easily navigate in the document and get a clear overview due to uniform structure of all documents
  • Find information faster thanks to streamlined content

You can download the documents in their current version in the download area of the AEB Service Portal at https://service.aeb.de/en/home/ or via the product-specific support pages. Have a look for yourself!

Improved presentation of service pack information

Already with the February service pack, the presentation and order of the service pack information, which informs you about new features, optimizations, and bug fixes, was optimized. The view that you see now is filtered by your product. Additionally, you can configure and restrict the display according to your wishes. The Continuous view button allows you to switch to the familiar continuous view of the service pack information at any time.

With the May service pack, the display of the texts has been improved in some places, and the continuous view has also been given a finishing touch. In addition, you now have the option of filtering specifically for information that is relevant to IT security.

You can find the service pack information (also called "Release Notes") in your application by pressing the F1 key and then clicking Service pack information.

Customs Management – general

Make your international customs processes even more efficient with these enhancements to the general functionality of Customs Management:

  • For deliveries, you can now also select the Clearance type at item level for customs procedures.
  • AEB has extended template selectors for you: You can now use the template selectors for customs offices also for broker instructions.
  • Port notifications now have a commercial reference and an internal remark. You can easily filter port notifications by their commercial reference.
  • Customs declarations with the New or Complete status can now be manually invalidated and completed.
  • In the context of business intelligence, you can now also choose the date of the tax assessment notice for import declarations.

The following convenient features also make working with Customs Management easier:

  • To simplify the assignment of number ranges, you can now generate number ranges directly on the Customs process sheet of a client for fallback documents using the New link. These are already filled with default values.
  • For transit departures, print the T(S)AD conveniently from the Transit departure menu.
  • In the overviews, you can now also search for declarations using the 'BusinessObjectUID' in the Reference no. field of the search filter. This is returned during synchronization.
  • A new application facade enables opening customs declaration overviews.

Export Filing

Customs process Export US (ACE) now available

You can now process export declarations for the United States of America with Customs Management. For this, Customs Management exchanges the necessary customs declarations with the ACE e-customs system (US). The following processes are supported:

  • Creating, editing, and searching for export declarations
  • Correcting export declarations
  • Canceling export declarations
  • Identifying and editing controls

Customs Broker Integration – in Customs Management

Transferring additional information to the broker instruction

You can now transfer further parties into the broker instruction, for example if this is required due to country-specific requirements. These parties are displayed in the Details sheet in the Further parties field group.

In addition, the Details sheet now also includes the other references, such as the AWB number or the bill-of-loading number in the broker instruction.

More transparency in customs clearance with your brokers

If your customs broker creates several declarations for one broker instruction, you will automatically receive this information in Customs Management, as well as the data as to how many packages and items are contained in the declarations. Retrieve this information in the broker instruction in the Customs information sheet.

If your customs broker transmits additional documents during customs clearance that go beyond the mandatory documents, you can now see at a glance in the Documents sheet of the broker instruction which document type is involved. You can also choose to be notified of the receipt of individual customs documents.

Further optimizations

Encoded documents can now be filled via mapping tables and can therefore also be transferred to your broker order using dynamic value calculation.
