File server

• Operating system: see chapter 3.4
• Disk space requirements of a network installation, approx. 10 GB
• There are no specific performance requirements because only the programs are loaded from the file server when starting the application
• LAN bandwidth: at least 100 Mbit/s for an acceptable program load time and for all connections: ASSIST4 workstations/gateways to ASSIST4 file servers and ASSIST4/database as well as all other systems involved.
• Normal operation: reading permissions for the ASSIST4 network directory from all workstations. Upgrades/service packs: Full permissions for the ASSIST4 network directory from at least one workstation
• Do not install the file server under ...\Programs or …\Program Files or under file paths containing blanks.
• ASSIST4 standard patches (monthly) require approx. 100 MB of disk space

Virus scanners may impact the functions of ASSIST4. Files which are used by ASSIST4 should not be scanned on every access.
