Printer languages
Printer languages are supported for the approved printer models listed in the following section.
Not all printer languages and resolutions are supported by all service providers. For details on restrictions concerning the general use of certain printer languages, PDF printing, and printing resolutions on the part of the service provider, refer to the Carrier Connect – Functional scope of the carriers offered in the standard System Description.
The final acceptance of the labels is carried out by the service provider before going live.
The use of laser printers for printing labels is not recommended.

If your required printer has not been approved, AEB must check the suitability of the printer.
Submit a request in the AEB Help Center and let us know the exact printer model and print resolution (number of dpi) so that we can provide you with a non-binding quotation after a feasibility check.
Printer driver
On the clients or servers you need to install NiceLabel printer drivers. These are available for download in the AEB Service Portal under Other – Software: driver for printers.
If you do not have login data for the AEB Service Portal, submit a request in the AEB Help Center to apply for them.
Label paper
AEB recommends the following paper qualities to fulfill the transport service provider's requirements (especially concerning bar codes):
- Direct thermal printing: “Top coated” quality
- Thermal transfer printing: “Fasson MC Prime coat”or “Herma Extra coat” quality
Label size is 4 x 6 inch (101,6 x 152,4 mm). Carrier-specific 4 x 8 inch or 4 x 10 inch labels can also be used.
