Information on data retention and deletion of personal data
AEB as a processor supports you in fulfilling your responsibility for the legally prescribed deletion of personal data with a deletion concept (on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation). The complete AEB Deletion Concept can be found at https://www.aeb.com/deletion-concept. The following provides additional information specific to this product.
Please note:
- Master data is in constant use and is not deleted by AEB.
- The retention periods for transaction data stored in the AEB Cloud can be found in the service descriptions for the AEB Cloud and AEB Private Cloud.
- No special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR are used.
Personal transaction data (shipping orders and pickups) in Carrier Connect might include the following:
- User (login name)
- Workstation name
- Details of the contact for the respective address type (name, phone number, e-mail)
- Information on contacts in the address data (e.g. "for the attention of John Doe")
- Information in a note to a service provider (e.g. names of contacts, phone numbers)
Manual deletion of data
In addition to the automated deletion processes, you can delete master data and transaction data manually at any time.
Note the status of the data: For example, you can only delete a shipping order that was already reported to the service provider as part of a pickup together with the complete pickup.
Recommendation: Minimize use of personal data
AEB recommends to minimize the storage of personal data in the software as much as possible.
For example, use initials or numbers as user names instead of plain text names of your employees.
