Printer languages
- Recommendation for the SOAP web service: ZPL 203 dpi or EPL 203 DPI (printing content is processed in native ZPL/EPL).
- Alternative printer languages and 300 dpi possible (printing content is processed completely as a graphic or PDF. For thermal printing, an additional label with the FedEx Terms & Conditions is printed).
Special characteristics
- Package-by-package processing is not possible. You must know the final number of packages in the shipping order before the first document is printed.
- When using the two FedEx Freight LTL Services (FedEx Freight Priority, FedEx Freight Economy), packages are interpreted as Handling Units. Per shipping order, a “Bill of Lading” (.pdf) is created instead of a package label when printing labels.
- Hazardous goods processing according to FedEx hazardous goods regulations possible with the following scope:
- Full dangerous goods (not yet possible with FedEx REST web service)
- Excepted quantity (EQ)
- Limited quantity (LQ)
- Lithium batteries
- Small quantity (US relevant)
- The following hazardous goods have not been implemented:
