Scope of services
As a means for the administration of your handhelds, AEB Mobile Device Management (AMDM) offers you the following scope of services:
- You get system access to the dashboard of the AEB Cloud for an initial 5 administrative users, which you can use to manage any number of your devices.
- The initial setup of the devices in AMDM is carried out by AEB.
- AEB provides a home screen that allows certain applications in user mode and restriction settings.
- AEB provides and updates the launcher application and the associated profile that enables integration so that AEB applications communicate seamlessly with the device's hardware.
- Operating system and system updates as well as security packages are regularly rolled out by AEB as soon as they have been provided by the manufacturer and approved by AEB.
General conditions and requirements
The use of the AMDM is subject to certain conditions, which we would like to inform you about below:
- A maintenance contract from Zebra or Honeywell must be concluded so that AEB can fulfill the scope of services. If the devices are purchased via AEB, AEB will ensure that a maintenance contract is concluded. If you do not purchase or have not purchased your devices from AEB, please contact your supplier.
- The support and services provided by AEB are based on the respective service life of a device or the manufacturer's maintenance and support.
- AMDM is only possible for devices approved by AEB. You can obtain a list of approved devices from your AEB representative or in the AEB system requirements.
- It must be possible to access the mobile devices from the AEB data center. It may be necessary to set up or change the corresponding firewall or router rules (see also AEB system requirements).
