Setting up the connection for maintaining product master data

The installation steps described in this section are necessary if the Export Controls module has been licensed together with the “Product master data extension”.

The installation steps described in this section are necessary only in an SAP S4/HANA® system. And there it is only required if you do not already use another solution for the classification of material master data (e.g. EU export control number, US ECCN).

Proceed as follows:

  1. Define the connection type for Product Classification as described in section 4.1.
  2. Define the Product Classification target system with the SOAMANAGER as described in section 4.5. Use the appropriate values for the target system.
  3. If you have not already done so, complete the steps described in section 4.6 to create the certificates for an HTTPS connection.
