Configuring the batch to download messages

If there is no batch for downloading messages in your AEB Engine yet, create it now.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Select Administration – Background calls – Batches.
  2. Click on New above the list.
  3. In the Description field, name the batch “Download user tips”.
  4. Select the Import data service files batch type.
  5. The schedule for this batch is initialized with a daily action.
  6. If you wish for the download to run more frequently or less frequently, change the schedule as required.

    7. AEB recommends that you leave this setting at its default.

  7. Switch to the Parameters sheet and click New.
  8. Select the “User tips” file type.
  9. In the Execution order field, enter “10” and for Number of trials “3”.
  10. In the URL data serv. file field, enter the following URL:
    http://update.aeb.de/x4/X4Informations/news.zip.
  11. Make sure, that the Active box is checked.
  12. Click Apply and then Save & close to close and save the parameters and the batch.
  13. Confirm the message for starting the batch scheduler with Yes.
