Introduction
AEB communicates important information to the users of AEB Engines by means of “messages”, e.g. about:
- new helpful features
- a required migration of your AEB application
- momentary disruptions
These messages also include user tips, which you can also create internally for your users.
Messages are displayed to users on the desktop of a AEB Engine in the top right corner of the user area. You can also set up email notifications so that users additionally receive such information via email − even if they are not logged in.
AEB highly recommends this configuration to make it possible to inform users about new features or operational changes at AEB.
This requires one or two steps, depending on the operating model, the location of your AEB Engine installation:
No. | Step | AEB Cloud | On-premise | See |
---|---|---|---|---|
1. | Configuring email notifications for all relevant users so that they receive this information even if they are not logged into AEB Engine | X | X | How-to video (see below) |
2. | Configuring a batch in the AEB Engine to download messages | − | X |
In a multi-node system, these steps must only be carried out in one node.
