Configuring a logical port with LPCONFIG (up to SAP NetWeaver Release 7.0)
Up to SAP® NetWeaver Release 7.0, the Web service connection is defined by creating an HTTP destination in transaction SM59 and additionally a logical port in transaction LPCONFIG.
Creating HTTP destinations
Proceed as follows:
- Start the transaction SM59.
- Define a new HTTP connection (type G).
- Under Target system settings in the Host field, enter the server on which the AEB solution can be reached.
- Enter "443" as the port.
- For the path prefix, enter the following value: “/<Pathname AEB application>/servlet/bf/ATCConnectorBF”
- If a proxy is required for communication, enter the necessary proxy server data.
- Switch to the Login & security sheet.
- Enable Basic authentication under Login procedure and enter the user and password for logging in to the AEB solution. Please contact your AEB representative for the specific login parameters.
- Under Security options, set the status of the secure protocol to SSL active.
- Save the destination.
Ask your AEB representative if you do not know the host and path name.
Configuring the logical port with LPCONFIG
Proceed as follows:
- Start the transaction LPCONFIG. Confirm the prompt displayed.
- In the Proxy class field, enter “/AEB/CO_02IATCCONNECTOR_BF”.
- In the Logical Port field, enter a name of your own choosing for the logical port.
- Do not declare this port as default port.
- Click the Create button. Enter a description for this logical port.
- On the Runtime sheet, leave the Web Service Infrastructure settings unchanged.
- On the Call parameters sheet, select http destination and enter the http destination just created in SM59.
- Save the logical port and activate it. Ignore the note regarding the default port that is displayed after activation.
