Importing AEB components via the Add-on Installation Tool

Please pass on the following notes to the base administrators of your SAP system:

Downloading AEB files

  1. Open the AEB Service Portal.
  2. Log in with your user and password.
  3. Contact your AEB representative if you do not have login data yet.

  4. Navigate to the Download menu.
  5. Select Add-ons for SAP® and then SAP add-on packages.
  6. Download the appropriate files for your SAP version and use case (installation, upgrade, service pack):

Installation

The add-on is to be installed in your SAP system for the first time. In this case, be sure to install the available service packs (support packages) at the same time

  • ERP ECC 6.0:
    K-802COINAEB.SAR
  • S/4HANA:
    K-921COINAEB.SAR and
    K-921COINAE1.SAR

Service pack (support package)

The already installed add-on should be updated to the currently available version.

  • ERP ECC 6.0:
    K-802xxINAEB.SAR
    (xx = consecutive number per service pack)
  • S/4HANA: K-921xxINAEB.SAR and K-921xxINAE1.SAR
    (xx = consecutive number per service pack)

Upgrade

The upgrade is required in S/4HANA systems in these cases:

  • If the add-on has already been installed in an SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and this SAP system is being migrated to S/4HANA
  • When switching from version 920 to 921 of the add-on

S/4HANA: K-921CHINAEB.SAR and K-921COINAE1.SAR

ACP files for installation or upgrade in S/4HANA

Only relevant for S/4HANA systems. The ACP files should always be imported.

S/4HANA: AE1920.SAR AEB920.SAR

  1. Copy the unzipped files to the corresponding directories.

Installing the add-on package

  1. 1. Log in to client "000" and start the transaction SAINT.
  2. The import into ERP ECC 6.0 takes place via the AEB software component. The import into S/4HANA takes place via two software components, AEB and AE1.
  3. The two software components for S/4HANA must be selected and installed together in a SAINT procedure. Otherwise, serious inconsistencies may occur in the system.

  4. If the message "The archive is not signed" is displayed, continue with decompressing.
  5. Ignore any messages displayed regarding No signed manifest and continue.
  6. Be sure to select the current support package (service pack) for the installation. If several support packages are displayed in the list, select the highest one.

Importing support packages for the already installed add-on

  1. Start the transaction SPAM.
  2. The import into ERP ECC 6.0 takes place via the AEB software component. The import into S/4HANA takes place via two software components, AEB and AE1.
  3. Select the current support package and continue.
