Configuring user rights for installation/configuration

Various authorizations are required for installation and configuration.

All authorization objects and their corresponding transactions are documented for easier organization per add-on in a separate Excel spreadsheet, which you can download from the AEB Service Portal.

Authorization objects and transactions

For configuration during the project phase a user is needed who possesses the maximum rights (*) for all authorizations and transactions mentioned.

The asterisk * means that all values in fields where this asterisk is present are possible. The asterisk therefore serves as a placeholder: “All values are possible/valid”.

Ideally, the user is assigned the SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorization objects during the configuration process.

We recommend that you use the AEB role proposals for easy authorization assignment, which are available in your SAP system after importing the add-on:

• /AEB/PA_IT (administration, IT)
• /AEB/PA_KEYUSER (key user)

In addition, S/4HANA offers the following role proposals:

• /AE1/PA_IT
• /AE1/PA_KEYUSER

For easier administration, all authorization objects and corresponding transactions are managed in a separate Microsoft Excel document. Refer to the “Authorizations Carrier Cloud for SAP®” Excel document to find out which authorizations are assigned to the role proposals. You can download the document from the AEB Service Portal.
