Forming organizational units

An organizational unit is, for example, a business unit or a warehouse. Often, using a single organizational unit is sufficient.

If you want to separate the data of two areas or need more detailed authorization control, using multiple organizational units makes sense.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Maintain the connection settings. For each Carrier Connect client, you must make separate connection settings. For details about the creation refer to the System environment section.
  2. Define organizational units.
  3. Assign the organizational unit to a connection: see Assigning the organizational unit to connection
  4. When using the SAP freight order, create a profile: see Creating a profile for a freight order
  5. Define determination rules for determining organizational units: Determining the organizational unit
