Configuring the connection type

For communication with the AEB solutions, you can choose between two connection types:

Web service: must be used for all new integrations
RFC: only available until the end of 2026.

Communication must take place via web service. RFC-based communication is not suitable for integration with the AEB Cloud and is no longer supported.

Proceed as follows:

Open the AEB Cockpit: Customizing - Connection type.
Click New entries and select your preferred connection type for the add-on for SAP or change the existing entry.
Save the setting.
