Configuring required system languages
The AEB add-ons for SAP are delivered completely in English and German. If other login languages are set up in the SAP system, you can use the “supplementation language” function to fill in missing translations in these languages with the German or English texts.
Configuring and supplementing the supplementation language
In the SMLT transaction, you can specify a supplementation language for each login language. By executing the Supplement language function, all untranslated text elements are then filled with the supplementation language accordingly.
Further information on the procedure can be found in SAP Note 1156507 and in the SAP Help under https://help.sap.com in the NetWeaver – Language transport (BC-CTS_LAN) – Language supplementation section.
The delivered texts are available in SAP Standard tables, not in /AEB tables. Therefore, do not restrict population to /AEB/ tables.
Setting the secondary language
As an alternative to supplementing a language, the “secondary language” can be set to English. If a text element is not available in the login language, the SAP system displays the corresponding text from the set secondary language instead. The secondary language is defined for the entire SAP system via the profile parameter zcsa/second_language
.
