Canceling export declarations (submit request for cancellation)
You can cancel export declarations wherever this is supported by the respective e-customs system.
Passar: a cancellation is no longer possible once the declaration has been activated. Cancellation after activation is only possible by requesting the revocation of the assessment decision by correspondence with the responsible office.
Passar: If an export declaration is already linked to a transit declaration, the export declaration must first be decoupled from the transit declaration before it can be corrected or withdrawn.
How to apply for a cancellation:
- In an open declaration, click on the Send cancellation request action in the Assistant pane.
- In the Request cancellation window, fill in any relevant fields and click OK.
- The status of the declaration changes to Sent/Cancellation sent, Cancellation variant.
- The customs authorities respond to you with customs messages.
- When a cancellation confirmation has been received, the status of the declaration changes to Canceled.
- If the request is rejected, refer to the next section.
Request for cancellation is rejected
If the request for cancellation is rejected, the customs declaration appears in the overview with an error indicator in the Progress column. The Cancellation variant remains in place.
- Research reasons for rejection: Any existing reasons for the rejection can be found in the customs message, which in turn can be found in the open declaration on the Customs information sheet under Customs messages.
- Click the Assistant message to reset the customs declaration.
- Then you can either send another cancellation request or abort the cancellation in the Assistant pane by going to the Actions group and clicking on Exit cancellation mode.
To only display customs declarations in the cancellation mode, go to the Variant filter in the customs declarations overview and select the Cancellation entry.
Receive information about a cancellation performed by customs
The customs authorities can also perform a cancellation. If you have configured notifications, you will receive an email notification that a cancellation is being performed by the customs administration.
In an open customs declaration (import or export), you will find information about the cancellation in the following areas:
- On the right below Notes, a note about the cancellation will be displayed.
- In the Customs information sheet, a note will inform you about the time and reason for the cancellation.
You can configure email notifications such that the person in charge of the transaction and any other people you define receive an email – see Setting up notifications of events.
