Using export declaration templates

Templates make it easier for you to create similar content at header level and/or at item level of export declarations. You can use a descriptive name and apply the template to export declarations.

When data is applied from the host system, you can enter data in the template that is required for export declarations but not available in the host system. This makes it possible to greatly automate the processes.

How to apply a template at header level:

  1. Go to Customs – Switzerland – Export declarations (CH).
  2. Click on New from template.
  3. From the Export declaration templates window, select the desired template, then click Apply.
  1. A new export declaration opens. The field values have already been copied from the template.

How to apply a template at item level:

  1. Open an item. From the Item menu, click Apply template.
  2. This opens the Export declaration templates window.
  3. From the Export declaration templates window, select a template, then click Apply.
  1. The saved template data is applied.

Restricting the selection of templates (“Matching templates”)

You can limit the selection of templates to those matching the open declaration or its items. It’s possible that a certain template was created for a certain e-customs system, for example, or for the defined declarant/exporter.

  1. Open a declaration (or item) and proceed as described above to apply a template.
  2. In the window that opens, check the Matching templates box and click on Search.
  3. Only templates that match the selected declaration are displayed.
  4. Select a template from the list. Click Apply to confirm.

Matching templates are configured through template selectors. You can open the template selector for a matching template by right-clicking on the matching template and selecting Show matching templ. selector. Refer as well to Defining template selectors.
