Creating and editing consignments
If all the requirements have been met and Customs Management is appropriately configured, consignments are automatically generated using the data from your ERP system. You also have the option, however, to enter consignments manually and assign deliveries to consignments.
How to assign deliveries to a consignments:
- You must have already created a corresponding consignment profile. More information can be found in section Creating and editing consignment profiles and transitions
- Go to Customs – Consignments.
- Create a new consignment: Click New.
- Open an existing consignment: At the top of the overview, define any filter criteria you wish to apply, then click Search. Select a consignment from the list and click Open.
- Follow the prompts of the Assistant and enter the necessary data. Go to the Consignment sheet. In the Profile field, select a consignment profile.
- On the Deliveries sheet, click Add to search for, select, and add existing deliveries to the consignment.
- When you are finished assigning deliveries to the consignment, click on the Assistant message Assigning deliveries completed.
- The status of the consignment changes to Compiled.
- Add additional consignment-level data relevant to customs processing as needed.
- The Assistant prompts you to complete the deliveries.
- On the Deliveries sheet, select a delivery and click Open. Now you can define additional data in the delivery.
- The status of the consignment changes to Checked.
Consignment profiles can contain one or more default settings for transitions, e.g. conditions or exceptions, as well as specifications for automation in the case of successive customs processes (“event trigger”). Conversely, transitions may contain settings for the aggregation of items and packages, templates, and automatic actions. Further information on consignment profiles and transitions can be found under Creating and editing consignment profiles and transitions.
