Creating transit departures in fallback procedure
You can use the fallback procedure to create transit departures with a fallback document if for technical reasons it is not possible to create an electronic transit declaration.
In the normal procedure, you submit the transit declaration in paper format when the goods are presented at the office of departure.
In the simplified procedure (authorized consignor), this is not necessary. Instead, Customs Management applies the requisite stamps to the fallback document.
The fallback procedure may only be applied after an official announcement by the customs authorities or approval.
Information on the system availability of the BAZG can be found on the official website.
When opening the fallback procedure, there are two scenarios depending on whether the declaration was already sent to the customs authorities.
