Processing error messages for transit departures
A transit declaration that has been rejected by customs authorities due to errors is marked by an error icon in the Progress column of the Transit departures (CH) overview. Once you have corrected the error, you can resubmit the transit declaration.
How to process errors in the transit declaration:
- Open the relevant declaration and check the Assistant pane for details about the cause of the error or problem.
- If necessary, research further details about the cause of the error or problem:
Click on the Display more detailslink at the end of the Assistant message. - The Customs information sheet with the corresponding customs message appears.
Read the complete error message: Select an entry with the Error or Information text type, then click Open. - Correct errors: To edit the transit declaration and correct the error, click the Assistant message and confirm the prompt. The transit declaration is reset.
Now you can fix the error and resubmit the transit declaration with the help of the Assistant.
You can configure email notifications such that the person in charge of the transaction and any other people you define receive an email – see Setting up notifications of events.
