Procedure in the event of technical problems (fallback procedure for transit arrivals)

There is no formal fallback procedure for transit arrivals in the event of technical problems during electronic transmission.

Declarations that cannot be made in the system must be submitted to the office of destination in writing (email or over the counter). The office of destination then records the arrival in the system and issues the unloading permission conventionally (not electronically). The authorized consignee waits for the expiry of an intervention period agreed with the customs control office for release.

Termination of a previous fallback procedure

If a fallback TAD is presented to the authorized consignee upon arrival of the goods, the authorized consignee declares in the conventional procedure in Passar with the electronic arrival notification (NT007) and the code 30 'Other transit procedures'. After the goods have been released, the authorized consignee inventories the goods. In addition, they make a corresponding deletion remark on the fallback TAD, certify the remark, and add the company stamp and signature. Finally, they hand over the TAD to the customs control office on the following working day.
