Recognizing controls (transit arrival)
After the customs authorities have sent the arrival notification, they may initiate controls (an examination of goods or a control of documents, for example).
Identifying the initiation of controls
The Transit arrivals (CH) overview indicates whether controls have been initiated as follows:
- The Progress column shows the alert icon
. - The status of the transit arrival changes to Initiated (in the overview) or Controls initiated (in the Assistant pane).
- The transit arrival variant is Controls.
Learning more about the control
- Open a transit arrival that has the status of Initiated or Controls initiated.
- The Assistant provides tips about the control and the next steps required.
