Using confirmation codes
Customs Management and the customs administration perform certain plausibility checks (checking the ratio of value to weight, etc.). If the plausibility check identifies any anomalies, the user must check the error message and correct the data. If the flagged data is correct based on the available paperwork, however, the user can confirm the data by entering a confirmation code – assuming the customs office has allowed confirmation codes to be applied to a particular field.
Proceed as follows:
- Create a customs declaration (import or export) and enter the appropriate information.
- If a field entry violates plausibility rules and you still want to declare it this way, click the
button behind this field.
- The button will be replaced by the
icon and Confirmation code set will be displayed.
- The content of this field will no longer be checked for plausibility, you can declare it now.
