Checking the status, selection result, and version
With every customs declaration (import or export), you will receive a status code that informs you about the status of the import declaration or export declaration. Furthermore, every declared item will receive a selection result that informs you whether controls are to be initiated. Customs Management will determine a selection result for the complete customs declaration (import or export) from the items:
- Blocked if at least one contained item is blocked. The declared goods remain in the custody of the customs administration. You may only export/import the goods after completion of a formal control and a possible examination.
- Free with if at least one contained item is "free with" and no item is blocked. You may export/import the declared goods immediately or after the customs examination has been completed. The customs office will carry out the formal control retroactively.
- Free without if none of the contained items is "free with" or blocked. You may export/import the declared goods immediately or after the customs examination has been completed. No formal control will take place.
Customs will also assign a version to import declarations and export declarations.
