Upload data transfer package
If you have downloaded a data transfer package from a source system or from a client, you can upload it again in your target system or the new client.
When uploading, existing data will be overwritten if they have the same subject key (e.g. the same ID or ISO code).
Proceed as follows:
- The system in which you created the data transfer package must have the same name and service pack level as the target system.
- You must have the I_ADMIN role.
Alternatively, you need client administrator rights (I_CLIENTADMIN role). However, you cannot upload multi-client data with this role.
- In the Office of the target system, go to Administration – Tools – Data transfer packages.
- Select the Upload/import package button.
- Click the Upload... button and select the file you want to upload.
- The AEB Engine shows you details about the data transfer package.
- Click the Check import... button.
- The AEB Engine checks the import data and displays the result.
- Result “Import checked successfully”: Click Save imported data.
- The AEB Engine saves the imported data.
- Result “Import check failed”: Read the messages received and make the necessary corrections.
The maximum number of objects is set to 10,000 to ensure the stability of the system.
Only with I_ADMIN role: To change this number, select menu Data transfer package – Import – Change 'Max. # objects'.
Use the Open details link to change the key values of those records to be imported that support it.
To do this, add a subject-specific key, e.g. an ID or an ISO code, in the Replacing key value column.
