Defining auto-completions for a data transfer package
There can be references between objects from different master file data, for example, an area A can reference a location Z. Therefore, when you upload a data transfer package into a target system (or target client), references of the objects to be uploaded are checked against objects in other master data. If the referenced object does not exist in the target system, the check fails before uploading and you receive a corresponding error message.
To avoid this error, you have the following options:
- You create the missing referenced object manually in the target system and then upload the data transfer package (again) in the target system.
- You manually add the missing referenced object in the source system to the same data transfer package.
- You automatically add the missing referenced object in the source system to the same data transfer package.
Proceed as follows to manually add missing referenced objects to the data transfer package:
- Open the data transfer package and switch to the Auto-completions sheet.
- Click the New button.
- Enter the necessary information and click Apply.
- Example: Select the “Location” object type.
Proceed as follows to automatically add missing referenced objects to the data transfer package:
- Open the data transfer package and switch to the Auto-completions sheet.
- Select the Suggest auto-completions button.
- If necessary, your AEB Engine will suggest a completion.
- Select the Accept proposal or Skip proposal button.
- If you get any other proposals: Decide in each case whether you want to accept the proposal or skip it.
